Dear Governor Ifeanyichukwu Lawrence ugwuanyi,

OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR,IFEANYI UGWUANYI

I write to you because of my love and concern for our dear state.
When you were coming out to take over the bathin from Sullivan chime we all were singing for you, we the people of Enugu gave you our maximum support.

I, personally supported you so much because our governor, my birthday mate barrister Sullivan Iheanacho Chime endorsed you.

We the people of Enugu expected much from you but we are disappointed with your performance so far.

We supported and voted for you again for second tennure simply because it is in our blood to support our governors.it is a culture Sullivan Chime inputs in us.

After the government of Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, Bar. Sullivan Chime brought us (the people of Enugu) closer to the government. Bridging the gap between us and the government.

We started enjoying the full dividend of democracy in Enugu which you are the greatest beneficiary.

Before Bar. Chime came into power PDP struggle to win elections because the people hated the government. But today through the performance and good governance of Bar. Sullivan Chime the people came close and fell in love with the government and started supporting the ruling government and today PDP don't struggle again to win elections. Courtesy of bar. Our dear Governor Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Lawrence Ugwuanyi, we the people of Enugu are not satisfied with your performance so far.

We expected that you will do better than Sullivan Chime but we cannot even take hold of one project that you have done in the state after four years and some months.

Our dear Governor, we have things that each time we look at them in Enugu today we either remember Chimaroke or Sullivan. What will you be remembered for?

If you take up one project done by Chimaroke or Sullivan now you will not be able to finish it till the end of your tenure.

Consider Esut/parklane or Enugu ultramodern Secretariat.

All the road projects you have done both in Nsukka and Enugu town cannot be measured with the roads Sullivan Chime did in his first six months in office.

The four years achievement of this government, it's equivalent was achieved in nine months by the immediate past Government.

Dear Governor Ugwuanyi we need a new thing. If it is road we need a virgin road. Consider Ebeano tunnel road to Atisan market or ugwugo road to Opi Nsukka. They were never in existence before it was conceived and executed.

Nike lake road to Emene can be considered same if we see it completed but still cannot be measured with ugwugo road to Opi constructed by Sullivan chime.

We the young adults never saw traffic lights in Enugu until Sullivan introduce it. It was a new thing to us and today many of them are not working again even our street lights. Before we use to drive round Enugu in the night without head lamp but now some places are very dark in the night.

Don't count the money you give to people because they will eat and forget even the 13th month salary.

Write a history.

Chimaroke came to power with his people in mind and he achieved his desire for his people and he can never be forgotten.

Sullivan came to power with Enugu state in his mind and he achieved his desire even more than we expected.

What do you have in mind coming to power?

Sullivan could not do much for us in Nsukka zone but he finally did everything for us by sacrificing his senatorial ambition just to hand over the power to us from Nsukka zone to go and develop Nsukka and beyond.

But how far have we gone?

Road is not enough for the people of Nsukka as it will not last forever without maintenance...another person will still work on the same road and it will be attributed to the new person.

ONE COMMUNITY ONE PROJECT is just a way of giving some politicians money. In most community all we see is a decoration with tiles and a hanged tank and it will be called BORNHOLE.

Some of the community projects are not functional and some has no value.

The government of Chimaroke Nnamani and the government of Sullivan Chime brought huge development to our state. We saw new and positive things that moved the development of our state above it's equal. 

Gburugburu go outside the country look for a new thing and bring it to us here in Enugu and we will appreciate you even more than we appreciated Sullivan.

Some of us never appreciated Chimaroke Nnamani but I appreciate him,i love him because of his positive impact.

The people of Enugu never hated you give them reason to back up their love for you. 

When Sullivan was about leaving the office in 2015 the whole Enugu wanted him to go for third tenure. I was among the people seeking for his third tenure in media.

Both in radio programs and on social media but there is no place for that in the constitution.

When he was sick the whole of Enugu prayed for him because of his performance. The heart of the people of Enugu held his life. In similar cases involving other leaders the people always go against their health but in his case it was a different thing.

When he returned it was jubilation all over the city with a chant "Sullivan Chime anota go" (Sullivan Chime is back). What a love?

I personally love Sullivan Chime not that we have met before though he is my birthday mate(10 April) but I love him because of his performance.

He is a silent achiever.

He is the pride of Enugu.

The best governor Nigeria has ever produced.

We have learnt to support our Governors that was what he inputted in us.

We love you Gburugburu.

We supported you even more.

We want to sing your song.

We want to chant ur name.

We want to retain you in the history of our state.

We love you even more than you can imagine.

We desire the best for you and we also deserve the best from you.

I personally want you to achieve more than other governors. I supported you even in your last election.I designed posters for you.

I used your campaign posters as my  profile pictures in all my social media accounts throughout the 2019 general election.

I don't know you and you don't know me. We have not met before but some people thought that I am a beneficiary of your government while am not.

Even my local government as a whole has not benefitted from Enugu state government from  1999 till date.

Uzo-uwani is as if it is not part of Enugu state.

But still we support the government.

Please sir, I never meant to hurt you but I have desired to see Enugu state move forward.

Truly Enugu is in the hands of God but we have a role to play. 

I will continue to pray for you.
